The Executive Office of The National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna) honoured members of the project to study the reinforcement of national values in the Bahraini society. The ceremony was held at the Public Security Officers Club, in the presence of President of the University of Bahrain Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahka, Assistant Undersecretary of Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Adel Amin and members of the executive team concerned with the implementation of "Bahrainouna" initiatives.
The General Supervisor of the Executive Office of National Plan Brigadier Mohammed Bindainah asserted that the project comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister and Chairman of the Follow-Up Committee of the National Plan Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to work on conducting studies,which contribute to achieving the required goals and the objectives of the plan.
Brigadier Mohammed Bindainah hailed the cooperation with universities and scientific and research institutions.
He explained that the study aims to establish a fixed mechanism for rooting positive values and behaviours, as eighteen standard values were identified and grouped into four categories: national, human, social, and political values.
The participants discussed the theoretical framework of the project. Dr. Raed Bin Shams, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, gave an overview of the project. The Academic Committee at the University of Bahrain reviewed the results of the study. The President of the University of Bahrain welcomed the cooperation and partnership between the university and the Executive Office of "Bahrainouna".
The National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna), which was launched in March 2019, includes more than 100 initiatives. A total of 27 government agencies and institutions are participating in its implementation, through 5 basic tracks, centred on belonging, public relations c, Media, curricula and courses and legislation and regulations.
