Maritime patrols of the Coast Guard have rescued two seafarers who were lost in the sea during a sea trip in the early hours of the day. The unstable weather of rain and high winds drifted their boat from Budaiya beach to west Fasht Al Jarim area.
The case was reported at 9:28 pm on Wednesday, January 4, in which the patrols rushed to the scene. The boat was found after two hours and a half of the reporting of the case through the electronic detection device, and the two men were onboard. The patrol pulled the boat to the shore, and the two seafarers were provided with the required assistance. Both are in good health.
The Coast Guard called upon seafarers to follow weather reports and coast guard alerts. In addition, they should ensure security and safety tools on boats and operate the electronic detection device while sailing. For assistance, they should call 17700000 or the hotline 994.
