Capital Governorate Police Directorate organised an exhibition to combat tobacco as part of the Directorate's efforts to obtain a certificate for health-promoting workplaces (Diamond Level), in coordination with the Health and Social Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Interior.
The exhibition was opened by Director General of Capital Governorate Police Directorate, Brigadier Ibrahim Saif Al-Najran in the presence of a representative of the Health Promotion Directorate at the Ministry of Health.
the Director General affirmed that the Directorate worked hard to obtain a certificate of health-promoting workplaces of the diamond category, as a specialised team was formed from the Directorate to meet the requirements for obtaining the certificate through providing training courses.
The exhibition is held from January 10-26 and aimed to educate the employees of the Directorate about the harmful effects of smoking. The programme includes introducing the side effects of tobacco and smoking, passive smoking, electronic smoking, in addition to quitting and then following-up to avoid relapse into smoking.
