Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa has honoured the participants of a course about modern alternative penalty methods. The course was part of implementing the directorate’s strategy to meet sustainable development goals.
The course targeted 19 individuals from the Interior Ministry and the Bahrain Defence Force to learn about the directorate’s operations and benefit from the latest development in alternative sanctions. In addition, the course included field visits to the National Institute for Human Rights, the Public Prosecution, and the Supreme Judicial Council.
The Director-General asserted the importance of training as part of the strategic plans of the Interior Ministry to implement the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enforce Alternative Sanctions and Measures Law as a national project to promote human rights and security operations.
At the end of the ceremony, the Director-General distributed the certificates among the participants and wished them all the best.
