International Tennis Federation hails MOI readiness to host Tennis Challenger

As part of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Director of Public Security Officers Club and Head of the Interior Ministry Tennis Challenger,  Lt-Col Jassim Hassan Jassim, highlighted the readiness of the club's playgrounds to host the competition. The Public Security Sports Association will organise the event in cooperation with the club from February 12 to 19. 

He said that during a recent visit, a delegation of the International Tennis Federation hailed the preparation process and the efforts of the organising elements. 

This year’s competition will be held for the Challenger  125, with a higher rating than the previous version of the Challenger Championship, supervised by the International Tennis Federation, as the tournament will be held in the Kingdom for the third time and the second year in a row. The previous event was held in November 2021.

The tournament will witness the participation of international players with a higher rating than those who participated in the previous edition. It will be held after the First Grand Slam of the Australian Open.
