The Interior Ministries of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to launch a bilateral interconnection system for traffic systems. It will be the first project between the two brotherly countries within a Gulf technical system that promotes cooperation and coordination between the GCC countries.
This was decided during a joint meeting of the joint security committee between the two countries in Abu Dhabi. The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Traiq Al Hassan and UAE Interior Ministry Undersecretary Major-General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili co-chaired the meeting. It was a continuation of a meeting held last September.
The Chief expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the invitation of His Highness UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister t. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The Chief thanked members of work teams for their efforts and coordination to achieve the best interests of both countries and promote security.
