His Excellency the Capital Governor, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, chaired the first meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Governorate in 2023, where he briefed the attendees on a report on the efforts of the Committee to modify shared housing conditions "Random Houses", during the last quarter of 2022, which included the Committee's visit to 197 buildings in the governorate, the number of violators reached 94, as the committee evacuated 6 of them due to the severity of their danger to their residents, while correcting the violations in 7 buildings and ensuring safety and security requirements.
During the meeting, which was held via videoconference, with the participation of members representing various authorities, the Coordinating Council reviewed the report of the Inquiries and Complaints Unit in the governorate, which dealt with the problem of rainwater gathering in certain areas of the governorate.
The attendees also discussed the service needs of the Ghuraifa area, which were monitored during the field visit of the General Status Committee in the governorate, and the council made recommendations to the concerned authorities to study the possibility of implementing development needs in order to achieve the aspirations of the people.
