Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor chaired the meeting of the Coordinating Council in the governorate.
The Northern Governor welcomed the members and reviewed the 2022 annual report of the Coordinating Council which showed the implementation of the recommendations and assignments approved by the Council during the same period, which amounted to 83 recommendations, 66% of which were implemented, 21 recommendations not being implemented and 7 are being implemented. The report also included the updated strategic objectives for the governorate that support the government’s work programme 2023-2026, which aims to move from recovery to sustainable growth stressing that the governorate’s policy is based on adopting and implementing strategic goals with the Coordinating Council at the heart of the governorate.
Mr. Malik Al-Ghasra, Head of Public Relations and Media, reviewed the programme for the National Sports Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will be organised by the governorate at Aali Walk. A distance of 1km around the track will be covered supporting the Healthy Cities programme based on the slogan "Health for all and from everyone". The governor urged all the public, private sectors and civil society to participate in the activities.
The Northern Governor concluded the meeting by addressing the importance of supporting the health initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, calling for holding an awareness seminar in this field during the people’s council in the governorate next week.
