The Maritime Training Wing Commander at the Coast Guard opened first aid course with the participation of 12 members of the Coast Guard and the Ministry’s staff.
The Commander said that the course came within the framework of the annual plan to enhance the efficiency of the cadres.
The first aid course, which will last for three days is divided into two stages; the theoretical stage which includes ( introduction to first aid, content of the first aid box, degrees of burns and their treatment, types of fractures and their treatment, types of bleeding and their treatment). The practical stage includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation and how to use the AED.
