His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa witnessed the inauguration of the first edition of the (Health Day) event organised by the Jidhafs Charity Association as part of the initiatives of the Healthy Cities Programme in the Musharraf Hall in Jidhafs. Deputy Capital Governor Hasan Abdullah Al Madani and MPs Mahmoud Fardan, MP Mamdouh Al-Saleh and other dignitaries and families attended the event.
HE affirmed the Capital Governorate’s keenness to support initiatives and activities that aim to enhance the health status in the society and contribute to support the objectives of the Manama Healthy City Programme adopted by the Capital Governorate in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. HE extended his appreciation to the Jidhafs Charity Association and all the charitable societies in the event.
Twenty consultants, specialists and doctors in the fields of family medicine, ENT, eyes, teeth, dermatology, urology, general surgery, internal diseases, physiotherapy, nutrition, pediatrics, chest, asthma and orthopedics participated in the event.
Shaikh Mansour Hamada President of the Society, expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Governor for his keenness to attend the event while indicating that the event aims to provide consultative and diagnostic medical services to the people of the region, especially the elderly, and to spread the culture of health care in the community and promoting health awareness by opening channels of communication with doctors and health experts.
