The Organising Committee of the Ministry of Interior ATP Tennis Challenger, chaired by President of the Public Security Sports Association Colonel Khaled Al Khayat, held a preparatory meeting in order to discuss the latest preparations to host the tournament during the period from 12-19 February, under the supervision and organisation of the Public Security Sports Association with the Public Security Officers Club on the Tennis courts in the club.
In the meeting Colonel Khaled Al-Khayat's presented the plan to host the international event, with the distribution of tasks among the committees operating in the tournament, which included the Media Committee, the Administrative Committee, the Medical Committee and the Courts Committee. The stages of development witnessed by the tournament in its classification of 125 were also discussed in addition to the efforts made by the organising committee to reach this advanced classification.
This version of the tournament will require the provision of more requirements and organisational needs, in addition to introducing a number of technological updates and updating the courts in accordance with the specifications of the International Federation.
Director of the Ministry of Interior Tennis Challenger Major Mohammed Al Sayed gave a detailed explanation of the new requirements of the International Tennis Federation, as well as the increase in the number of audience seats compared to the previous editions of the tournament.
