Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operations and Training Affairs, Brigadier Mohammed Al Haram, attended on Wednesday a graduation ceremony for the participants in an airport security course.
Organised by the Joint Counterterrorism Centre and the American Embassy, the course was held from February 12 to 21 for 22 officers and other ranks from various directorates of the Interior Ministry.
The Assistant Chief hailed the professionalism of the participants, highlighting the importance of such courses to promote competency. He praised the ongoing cooperation between the Interior Ministry and the US Embassy for enhancing skills and exchanging expertise. He thanked the embassy’s representatives and organisers for their dedication to promoting the workforce’s skills. He said that the course was part of the development and modernisation strategy of the Interior Ministry through cooperation with international and related organisations to promote security operations and develop services.
For his part, the Regional Security Officer, Andrew Simson, praised ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and the US Embassy, which is in the common interests and enhances counterterrorism capabilities.
At the end of the ceremony, the Assistance Chief handed the certificates to the participants and wished them all the best.
