His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chaired the virtual second coordinating committee council meeting in its third session for the year in the presence of representatives from various government agencies.
HH welcomed the attendees and praised their active role in following- up on the needs of the people and achieving their aspirations in cooperation with various authorities under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
His Highness was briefed on the efforts of the joint work team from the Southern Governorate and the Sunni Waqf Directorate on following- up on the needs of the mosques in the governorate. HH recommended the involvement of the community in the maintenance of mosques before the holy month.
His Highness the Governor also followed- up on the Waqf Directorate's plan to open Eid mosques in the southern governorate, by preparing the them in advance to receive citizens.
The Coordinating Council followed a visual presentation through which the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce were reviewed on the most prominent inspection tours and field campaigns that included a number of markets and commercial facilities within the scope of the Southern Governorate in cooperation with other Government agencies. The Council also discussed the results of Campaigns for the year 2022, praising the role of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in continuous follow-up regarding shops and commercial facilities.
HH followed a visual presentation presented by the Electricity and Water Authority on plans to establish and develop each of the power stations and water transmission pipelines in the Southern Governorate in order to accommodate sustainable development goals.
The attendees praised the prominent role played by the governorate and the continuous communication during the Coordinating Council.
