The Director-General of Traffic, Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa affirmed on Monday that all organisational steps had been taken to ensure traffic flow from and to the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) during the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula 1) to be held in March.
He said that the arrangements were part of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa's directives to ensure the event's success. He said there would be heavy traffic deployments throughout the three days of the race.
Besides the traffic deployments in fixed and moving points, a traffic control room has been equipped to monitor traffic flow on roads leading to the BIC.
During the event’s last day, there would be road diversions that would be announced in the media and on social media.
