Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa visited on Tuesday the Bahrain International Airports to inspect the readiness of the airport to receive visitors of the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula One). He was received by Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-Up, Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dossairi.
The NPRA Undersecretary highlighted the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to take all procedures to facilitate the entry of visitors during the race. Furthermore, he highlighted the dedication of the NPRA to contribute to the success of the international sports event to promote Bahrain on the global sports map.
He was briefed on preparations and arrangements to receive visitors, participants and media personalities through new e-systems and allocation of halls and special lanes for visitors, along with providing on-arrival visas to all holders of the race tickets. He hailed the role of the Ports, Search and Follow-up to utilise all efforts and train the workforce to facilitate the entry of visitors.
