The CEO of the National Cybersecurity Centre, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa asserted that Bahrain gives importance to cybersecurity as a key factor of the technological system. He said that the economy and prosperity of Bahrain are linked to the infrastructure security for the communication and IT sector. He highlighted the role of the National Cybersecurity Centre in implementing the national strategy for secure cyberspace.
He highlighted that during a meeting with the Director-General of the Bahrain Institution of Public Administration (BIPA), Raed Mohammed Ben Shams. He said both sides would launch programmes and courses to highlight cyber risks.
