Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa inaugurated on Tuesday an exhibition to mark the launch of Bahrain’s e-passport. The event will continue until March 19 at the Moda Mall.
He expressed happiness in implementing this national project to provide additional facilities for citizens. He continued that the project is part of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The NPRA Undersecretary said that the project also aims to enhance the quality of provided services and achieve the national digital transformation strategy. He hailed the support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and his contributions to the project’s success.
The exhibition is being held to inform the public of the characteristics and security features of the new passports. It also showcases photos that were used in designing the passport. In addition, a collection of Bahrain’s travel documents are on display.
