NPRA Undersecretary: issuing e-passports for citizens commerces

Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa announced the beginning of the printing and issuing of e-passports for citizens from Monday, March 20. He said that all technical procedures had been finalised for the issuing of the e-passport, highlighting that all concerned workforce was trained to ensure the speed and smooth issuing process and the best services for citizens. 

He said that those who want to issue e-passports for the first time, renew expired passports or replace damaged/lost passports could apply through www.bahrain.bh or www.npra.gov.bh, or go to the service centres at the Muharraq Security Complex and Isa Town after taking appointment via the MAWAEID app. He highlighted that the fee for issuing an e-passport is BD12.

He said that citizens could learn about all details of the e-passports services and passport photos through the NPRA website, 17077077 or the email infor@npra.gov.bh.
