Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, has chaired the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Scientific Council 63rd meeting. The Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, RAP Commander, Brigadier Fawaz Al Hassan and the council members attended. The Chief of Public Security expressed thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, for his ongoing support to the council and wise directives to develop scientific and training programmes to meet the security changes and challenges. He expressed happiness for the council’s dedication to implementing the Interior Minister's directives by enhancing the quality of education and training in the academic programmes to achieve excellence and RAP missions. The council started its meeting by reviewing topics in the agenda, including reinforcing cooperation with various training centres.
The meeting also discussed new academic programmes for the Officers Training College for the next academic year and the results of the master's degree students. The Chief directed to refer a recommendation to the RAP Board of Trustees to approve the academic qualifications and degrees. He also briefed on the proposal submitted for a bachelor's programme in police sciences for specialised officers in preparation for its approval next year.
He stressed the importance of developing all RAP educational and training programmes in order to achieve its mission fully. At the end of the meeting, the Chief thanked the members of the Council and the administrative and training staff of the Academy, wishing everyone success.
