A group of 45 childhood cancer heroes took part in a ceremony marking Eid Al Fitr.
The Capital Governorate hosted the festive ceremony in cooperation with "Smile", an initiative of Bahrain Future Society for Youth that offers psychosocial support to children with cancer and their parents in the kingdom of Bahrain.
Social Programmes and Community Affairs Director at the Capital Governorate Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa attended the event in the presence of other officials and volunteers.
He expressed appreciation for "Smile" volunteers’ efforts and humanitarian dedication to bringing joy to the hearts of children with cancer, as well as their parents. Gifts were distributed to the children during the fun-packed event.
Bahrain Future Society for Youth chairman Sabah Abdulrahman Al Zayani thanked the Capital Governorate for its support, commending the "Smile" humanitarian initiative to alleviate children’s plight.
