The Maritime Training Wing Commander, Major Mohammed Zain Al-Deen, has inaugurated the course for vessel captains at the Maritime Training Wing of the Coast Guard in cooperation with the US Coast Guard.
The commander said the course was part of the Coast Guard’s annual training programme to improve the skills of the participating personnel.
The one-week course is divided into two phases covering the law on preventing collisions, maps, navigation devices, maritime emergencies, first aid, and vessel driving training.
