President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa visited Azerbaijan, where Lt-General Shahin Bagirov, Head of Customs of Azerbaijan, received him.
At the beginning of the visit, the President of Customs praised the high-level customs cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries and the joint keenness to enhance the exchange of expertise and successful experiences, in a way that contributes to the development of customs work.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed cooperation and coordination and the follow-up of the memorandum of cooperation that was signed between the customs authorities. They also reviewed customs controls, artificial intelligence and cargo operations topics.
The President of Customs also visited the European Regional Office for Capacity Building to learn more about the facilities equipped for e-training. At the end of the visit, he thanks his counterpart, stressing his dedication to promoting cooperation.
