As part of its law enforcement role and to promote road safety, the General Directorate of Traffic registered 1,467 violations by truck drivers in April. The offences varied from exceeding the speed limit, crossing the red signal, wrong overtaking, and not following the truck ban periods. The fine could be the withdrawal of the driving licence for six months in case of the repeating of the violation.
