Director-General of Traffic Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa asserted the success of privatising the technical examination service. He said that the plan was part of the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to achieve the 2030 vision and the government action plan.
He said six companies had been licenced, operating 13 centres at all governorates; 9 for light vehicles, 3 for motorcycles and one for heavy vehicles. He noted that the directorate continues to receive and review new applications.
The service aims for a fast examination process, facilitates traffic services and meets quality standards and the public’s inspiration.
