General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science said that a mosque preacher, Mohammed Sanqour, was summoned for repeating inciting sermons that violate the law. The violations included defaming authorities and publicly inciting against and defaming a sect. The directorate highlighted that he was warned before of his violations, and then legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The directorate said that Bahrain is a state of law and organisations and firmly deals with any violation against civil peace and social fabric. “We can’t go back,” the directorate said, highlighting that the security and stability that the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoys today has cost the nation a lot. Therefore, everyone must protect security and the national gains that have been achieved.
