A number of officers at the Operations Directorate of the General Directorate of Civil Defence took part in the 2nd training course for GCC control and prevention representatives. The course was held in Kuwait 21st-24th May.
The course aimed to introduce participants on the laws, procedures, engineering systems and basic skills of storing chemical substances in warehouses and chemical laboratories to enhance the workers knowledge and train them in anticipating the risks of hazardous chemicals, choosing appropriate strategies in order to save lives and properties.
The course also contained a lecture on safety procedures to be taken to manage hazardous chemicals.
