The National Cybersecurity Centre, in cooperation with Bapco Energies, organised a workshop on "Cybersecurity Controls in the Oil, Electricity, Gas and Important Industries Sector". Present were Vice President for Cyber Operations at the National Cybersecurity Centre Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Al Khalifa, and Vice President of Information Technology at company Mohammed Sater and advisor to Sans International David Bayer.
Shaikh Abdulla Al Khalifa asserted the importance of the oil , electricity, gas and industries sector, as the most vital sectors in the Kingdom. Also, he indicated at the National Cybersecurity Centre was working to raise the level of cybersecurity in these important sectors.
The workshop which was presented by a number of consultants and experts, included the cyber controls that must be applied to confront security threats and cyber-attacks in order to achieve a safe and innovative environment.
Successful cyber experiences in energy-related companies and institutions were reviewed and ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences were discussed.
