Chief of Public Security Lt. General Tariq bin Hasan Al Hasan, attended in the presence of Director of Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) Dr. Ahmed Abdulhameed Al Shaikh, the seminar held by Ministry of Interior on the occasion of the "Officers' Days" event under the title "Digital currencies” . The event took place at the Royal Academy of Police, in the presence of 84 officers from various directorates of Interior Ministry.
Chief of Public Security asserted that holding the event came within the framework of the Ministry's policy in developing the human element and the advanced use of modern technology to upgrade cadres in order to reach professionalism and provide the best level of security services. He also praised the level of cooperation and coordination between Interior Ministry and Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies in holding such events. Chief of Public Security valued the discipline shown by the attendees to achieve the maximum benefit.
Meanwhile, Director of Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) expressed the importance of cooperating with the Ministry of Interior, noting that the BIBF's participation aimed to develop local cadres in the field of digital currencies.
The seminar included a working paper on the current situation of the digital currency presented by Mr. Fawaz Shukrallah, a trainer in the field of block chain and digital currencies at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Financial Studies. Head of Information Security at Binance Mr. Ziyad Younes presented a worksheet on dealing with digital currencies. Head of the Financial Crimes Division in the Anti-Economic Crimes Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security Major Mohammad Al Abdullah, talked about the security aspect of digital currency. In conclusion the working paper was on (digital currency governance), which was delivered by Mr. Ali Haroon, Acting Director of the Financial Markets Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain.
At the end, chief of Public Security honoured the attendees.
