The Executive Office of the National Disaster Management Committee took part in the meeting of technical and legal experts for information exchange, which was held by the International Atomic Energy Organization in Vienna.
The officer in charge of the Executive Office of the National Disaster Management Committee Major Hamad Subah Sawar said that the meeting was concerned with countries’ countries’ implementation of the Code of Conduct regarding the safety and security of radioactive sources. He pointed out to the priorities for the life cycle of radioactive sources and the permanent development in the application of the Code of Conduct.
During the meeting, the participating countries explained their experience in implementing the Code of Conduct on the safety and security of radioactive sources as well as the lessoned learned.
