The Coast Guard patrols have rescued five people south of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bridge from an accident between a boat and a fishing dhow.
Shortly after the case was reported to the main Operations Room, the maritime patrols rushed to the scene and rescued them. The National Ambulance provided them with first aid and referred them to the hospital.
The Coast Guard called upon seafarers to follow the weather reports and instructions and provide safety tools onboard. Assistance calls are received through 1700000 and 994.
