Royal Academy of Police Commander Brigadier Fawaz Hasan Al Hasan visited Alia for Early Intervention. During the visit, he was briefed on the various sections of the Centre including the Occupational Therapy Section, and the Intensive Learning Section, which focuses on training the child to accomplish the task on his own without assistance. Some of the activities were presented in terms of providing children with work skills, in order to integrate them in the labour market in the future.
Brigadier Al Hasan praised the role played by the Centre and its efforts in taking care of autistic children and integrate them into society. Adding that the visit aims to identify the role of the centre in providing intensive and comprehensive educational and behavioural services based on scientifically approved procedures. Also, he indicated that they discussed that the academy’s training programme contrained dealing with cases of autism and studying the possibility of cooperation with the centre in implementing the summer camp programme in the future to include people with disabilities.
Director of the Alia for Early Intervention aheikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, , expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Commander for this visit, looking forward to more cooperation.
