The General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing has held a seminar on the open prisons programme for the residents of the Northern Governorate at the Majlis of Member of the Council of Representatives, MP Hanan Al Fardan.
The seminar aimed to enhance the awareness of various segments of society on the programme, which is the latest initiative of the Alternative Sanctions and Measures Law. The programme aims to protect society, reduce crime rates and achieve self-rehabilitation of beneficiaries.
