The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa received Maeen Khan from the American Bar Association at the Open Prisons Complex.
The meeting reviewed the exchange of expertise and training to enhance the expansion of the alternative sanctions and open prisons programme. Both sides reviewed rehabilitation and training programmes provided to beneficiaries of the open prisons for being part of the alternative penalties to enhance their skills and reintegrate them into society.
They also reviewed various workshops and lectures, including the Amaan “security” programme organised through discussion sessions and lectures.
