Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa chaired his last session of the General Policies Committee of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) as the chairperson of the WCO council in Brussels.
He thanked His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their support while the Kingdom chaired the WCO. He also thanked His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for his support.
He hailed the cooperation of WCO member countries and their work in the last three years during the COVID-19 pandemic to face challenges to secure borders and protect supply chains.
WCO members hailed the efforts of the President of Customs and his dedication to achieving the organisation’s goals through the implementation of many projects and initiatives and his adoption of the COVID-19 project to promote security and sustainability.
