Capital Governorate Police Directorate has conducted an inspection campaign targeting scrap and metal shops. The campaign was associated with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Capital Municipality. The inspection took place after suspecting that some shops bought stolen items. The campaign was part of ongoing efforts to promote cooperation with concerned authorities to ensure that shops and workers follow the rules.
