Director of the Research Centre at New York University Professor Linda Collins, welcomed Director of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Program "Maan" (Together) Mr. Ali Ahmad Amini, and Professor David Wyrick of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
The Director of the Research Centre praised the role of the Ministry of the Interior in Bahrain in applying “Maan” Programme in schools and its impact on students’ behavior, noting the professionalism of the Programme in implementing the methodology of studying the strategy for improving stages and its compatibility with behavioral science.
For his part, Mr. Ali Ahmed Amini confirmed that, in implementation of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, those in charge of the Programme were working on applying it and constantly updating its educational content, to prevent children and youth from violence and crime and improve students' behavior.
The Director of the Research Centre received a copy of the Curriculum for Peaceful Coexistence and Combating Extremism. Developments in the implementation of the Together Program were also reviewed.
