In implementation of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to work on promoting digital transformation and developing services in information technology, the Visas and Residence Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs launched a residency renewal service, via visual communication technology, for the foreign wives of Bahraini citizens and the children of Bahraini mothers married to foreigners.
Ministry of Interior Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, affirmed that they seek to provide integrated services to the public through various electronic channels, explaining that the aim of the service is to facilitate the completion of transactions and save time without the need for personal attendance.
Also, he added that in order to get benefit of the service, an application should be submitted to the NPRA website. Once the necessary conditions are met, an appointment with the date and time for a video call for the applicant is sent to the via e-mail.
