The Bahrain International Airport Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Bahrain Airport Company, has held an exercise. The Special Security Force, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the Police Dogs (K9) Unit took part.
Director-General of Ports Security, Col. Ahmed Al Hutaimi, said that the drill was part of the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the Public Security Presidency to ensure the readiness to deal with any emergency at the ports to protect the safety and security of travellers. The exercise also aimed to promote cooperation with concerned authorities.
The exercise was part of a series of exercises to evaluate capabilities and preparedness in dealing with incidents.
