The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced the arrest of 23 individuals aged group 23-47 for possessing narcotics worth around BD50,000 and manufacturing and selling illegal types of tobacco.
An investigation into the received information led to identifying and arresting the suspects. Legal proceedings were taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
The directorate calls upon citizens and residents to report complaints, observations and assistance through the anti-drug hotline 996 to promote community partnership. Confidentiality is protected.
