Customs Affairs and Tamkeen signed an agreement

The Customs Affairs and Tamkeen have signed an agreement to train women on customs clearance. The signing was attended by the President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa and CEO of Tamkeen, Maha Mofeez

The President of Customs asserted the efforts of Customs Affairs to enhance the skills of the workforce, especially women and promote community partnership. Meanwhile, the Tamkeen CEO expressed gratitude for this partnership to promote customs services. 

The agreement aims to support the training of Bahraini women in customs clearance to be licenced customs clearance agents. 

It is worth mentioning that the signed agreement is part of the third edition of the vocational guidance programme for Bahraini women launched by the Supreme Council for Women to enhance Bahraini women’s economic participation and the sustainability of their contribution to the labour market and national economy.
