The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has arrested an Asian, 34, for drug possession and dealing. Around 1 kg of narcotics, locally known as “Shabu”, worth BD50,000, was confiscated.
An investigation into the received information led to identifying and arresting the suspect. Drug-making tools were seized. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
The directorate calls upon citizens and residents to report complaints, observations and assistance through the anti-drug hotline 996 to promote community partnership. Confidentiality is protected.
