The Detention Centre of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation has won the Gold Certification as a Health Promoting Workplace after passing the programme’s criteria of the Health Ministry. The Director-General of Reformation and Rehabilitation, Brigadier Abdulsalam Al Oraifi, has received the certificate in the presence of the Director of Health Consolidation of the Health Ministry, Dr Wafa Al Sharbati.
The Director-General asserted that the directorate passed the certificate criteria after forming a team to meet the requirements, including training for the centre’s affiliates. He pointed out that the directorate sought to implement the concept of a healthy work environment by making changes in buildings and workplaces to enable employees to perform their tasks and duties in a way that enhances their health and safety, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the specialised team for their efforts made to achieve the project standards and obtain the accreditation.
