Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, visited the Passports Directorate at the King Fahad Causeway. He was accompanied by the CEO of the General Organisation for the King Fahad Causeway, Yousif Al Abdan. He inspected the construction of the final phase of the passport cabins expansion project and the NPRA security and service initiatives.
NPRA Undersecretary was briefed on the development initiatives of the project of increasing the cabins to 29 at the departure and the arrival lanes to 41. He said that increasing the cabins would facilitate the daily traffic on the causeway and reduce the waiting period in coordination and cooperation with the concerned authorities.
The NPRA Undersecretary has also inspected other development projects, including expanding and increasing the capacity of procedures zones to reduce the traffic period. Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-Up, Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dossairi, Director of Ports, Lt-Col. Fawaz Al Jiran, officials and officers attended.
