The General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation announced on Friday the death of an inmate, 22, sentenced in a robbery case. The Control Room of the Reformation and Rehabilitation Centre in Jua spotted a fight between some inmates at 12:39 noon on Friday, 27 October 2023. The force interfered and controlled the situation. The fight led to the death of the inmate at the building. Legal proceedings were taken, and the Public Prosecution, Ombudsmen and the National Institute for Human Rights were notified. The General Directorate affirmed its commitment to enforce the law on all.
