Deputy Chief of Public Security Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa chaired the Ministry of Interior delegation at the 7th Interpol meeting of Police Chiefs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), which was held at the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in the French city of Lyon.
Deputy Chief of Public Security delivered a speech in which he asserted the importance of international cooperation and coordination in combating crime and security challenges, which requires the development of legislation and regulations to reduce them. Also, he pointed to the efforts of the Interior Ministry in cooperating with the competent agencies in MENA countries, thanking the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) for their efforts in providing criminal databases that contribute to the speedy arrest of criminals.
