Director of Passports Major Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed Al Khalifa at the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, took part in the 30th Meeting Of The Public Key Directory (PKD) Board of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO. A total of 93 countries registered in the PKD participated in the meeting which was held in Curacao.
The latest developments related to issuing official travel documents and verifying their authenticity were discussed. The electronic passport, which includes a security electronic chip that carries all the information for the passport holder, was also discussed, in addition to other features that are consistent with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which provides an easy travel experience for Bahraini citizens.
It is worth noting that the membership of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the organization allows it to benefit from the electronic services provided by (PKD) to the participants.
