The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science has arrested eight individuals, aged 24-52, of different nationalities in five separate cases. Different types of Illicit drugs and psychoactive substances worth around BD37,000 were seized. They were identified and arrested after investigations were launched into the received information. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. The directorate calls upon citizens and residents to report complaints, observations and assistance through the anti-drug hotline 996 to promote community partnership. Confidentiality is protected.
