Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing receives US officials

Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received a delegation of employees of the US Senate and House of Representatives. He welcomed the US officials, asserting that the alternative sanctions projects and the open prisons programme are part of the outcomes of His Majesty the King's reform project. They are supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He hailed the dedication of the Interior Ministry led by His Excellency Interior Minister to adopt the best international standards in implementing both programmes. The officials toured the Open Prisons Complex and learned about its facilities to provide the beneficiaries with the required social and living services.
