His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the event held by the Southern Governorate to mark Bahraini Women’s Day 2023, in recognition of the great role played by working women in society, in the presence of Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayat, and several women from the district, officials and affiliates of the Southern Governorate.
On the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls on the first of December every year, HH the Southern Governor extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).
He indicated that the achievements of women are a result of the implementation of initiatives from HRH Princess Sabeeka who is passionate about supporting Bahraini women and empowering them. He said that women have made a significant contribution to the Southern Governorate in various areas of education, health, security, and others. He even added that Bahraini women hold a variety of positions with high professionalism, which has contributed to strengthening their leadership role in southern society.
His Highness the Southern Governor witnessed a historical photo exhibition that shed light on women's roles in the South as well as included some pictures in honour of the Bahraini women's effort to support the comprehensive development process at all levels.
The Southern Governorate takes an interest in participating in Bahraini women's celebrations every year in appreciation of the remarkable efforts they have achieved in various sectors.
