Chief of Public Security Lt.General Tariq bin Hasan Al Hasan highlighted the importance of holding the second Arab International Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition (AICS 2023) held in Bahrain under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
Chief of Public Security said in a statement to (BNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the conference that the importance of holding the conference and exhibition was derived from the increasing importance of cyberspace as the provision of services nowadays had transformed from traditional form to digital services and open data.
He stressed that cybersecurity became a necessity, as the danger in cyberspace is no less than the dangers we face in the real world, as it threatens life along with data and information. Holding the conference enhances international cooperation in cybersecurity, which is a shared responsibility.
The Chief of Public Security pointed out that the Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition has become a platform for pioneering expertise in cybersecurity, through which the latest technology is presented and it is an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about various experiences.
